As we age, our needs and experiences shift—bringing changes that may include loss, uncertainty, or fear. At Create A Sense of Place, we understand the emotional complexity of these transitions and provide gentle, therapeutic support that centres dignity, comfort, and individual preference.
Our team of Counsellors and Social Workers work alongside older individuals, their families, and caregivers to:
We believe in doing with, not doing for, ensuring you’re supported in the way you want to be supported.
The following core principles shape how we support older people with dignity and respect:
Every person deserves respect, autonomy, and safety
You’re at the centre of every decision
We recognise past experiences and respond with care
We build on what’s already strong within and around you
We believe that ageing well means having the right support in place — without losing connection to what matters most. Our therapeutic supports are designed to help older people live safely and comfortably in their own homes, for as long as possible.
Home is often more than just a physical space — it holds meaning, memories, and a sense of identity. We work alongside individuals and families to protect that sense of place while ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing are never compromised.
Our services are grounded in the Aged Care Quality Standards, ensuring every person receives high-quality, respectful, and tailored support.
Our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, Brigette Kirkpatrick, established Create A Sense of Place to respond to the need for authentic, values-driven care. Since 2016, we’ve provided therapeutic services across the Hunter region—and now offer support throughout NSW, QLD, TAS, and Australia-wide via telehealth.
