Laylah Hastings – Support Coordinator, Level 2 – Newcastle, Hunter & Central Coast Regions
Laylah has a range of experience under the NDIS and has worked with its independent departments extensively in various roles. They are passionate about participants rights being upheld, and collaboration between providers to reach the best outcomes for participants.
Laylahs’ experience is extensive and varied, from support work to accounts, coordination and compliance. This has made them knowledgable in the NDIS and all of the systems and processes. They have always been able to get into the nitty gritty and technicalities of the NDIS to best support participants. Their favourite part of the job is ensuring that participants rights are upheld as it allows them to live their independent and diverse lives however they like. Everyone has a right to pursue their dreams and it’s so fulfilling to be a part of.
When working with Laylah you can expect an empathetic but professional service that focuses on building the participants’ tool kit and knowledge of the NDIS. Participants can expect that they will be at the centre of service and their voices heard while we navigate the system together. The more control participants have in what supports they receive, the more we are able to ensure we are providing services that are important to them.
As an ideal member of the CASoP team, Laylah has extensive experience with the NDIS and other government agencies such as DCJ, Dept of Health, NCAT and Office of the Childrens’ Guardian, to name a few. They will gush over your cute pets and want to hear all about your hobbies.
Laylah has lived experience in Psychosocial disability and is LGBTQIA+
