Sexual Health, Sexuality & Relationship Support

At Create A Sense of Place, we understand that you need to work with people holistically, and this includes areas of relationships, sexuality and sexual health.

Our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer has always been a strong advocate for promoting equality of opportunity for people living with disability in these areas.

This is an individualised service tailored specifically to you!

We can run these sessions 1:1, with couples or even as a group.

We can focus on any area of relationships, sexual health and personal development. Brigette also provides support to mums and dads with disabilities around the pregnancy journey, birth, breastfeeding and beyond.

We can also provide the following support:

  • Assessment of Sexual Knowledge
This in depth assessment takes a person through questions with pictures to gain an understanding into their level of sexual knowledge. A detailed report is written which outlines recommendations and areas for capacity building and identifies risks to abuse and exploitation with strategies for safeguarding. This can be a great basis for building an individual education program to support someone to be sexually safe and have safe relationships. This assessment can take between 8 and 12 hours.
  • Supporting My Sexuality (SMS): This is a program designed for someone that would like some support around their sexuality. It is recommended that an Assessment of Sexual Knowledge (ASK) is completed prior so we can get a really good understanding of what areas we can build the program around.

We can use either Improved Daily Living or Improved Relationships to deliver this support.
