Well Being for Aged Care
Well Being for Aged Care
We understand that as we age, and our life changes, our needs change too. Sometimes, these changes can bring feelings of worry or concern, or even fear. We may experience feelings of grief and loss, for what once was, or anxiety of what the future holds.
We understand the importance of the relationships between older individuals, their families, and caregivers to their overall wellbeing, and we actively involve trusted individuals (with consent) to enhance the quality of life for the people we support.
That’s where we can help. Our team of Counsellors and Social Workers can work with you to help you understand the change, and how to help your support team to provide you with the care you need, in the way you want to receive it.
Our approach is deeply rooted in respecting and prioritising the rights, safety, and quality of life of all individuals. We adhere to the following principles in our therapeutic approach:
- Human Rights Oriented
- Person-Centred
- Trauma-Informed
- Strengths-Focused
By creating personalised care plans and nurturing a compassionate, respectful and empathetic atmosphere, we aim to enhance the quality of life for the people we work with, ensuring they enjoy a sense of belonging and comfort in their daily lives. We put strong emphasis on enabling a person to maintain their independence in their own homes for as long as possible. We believe that for many, ‘home’ is a sanctuary of comfort and happiness, and our goal is to support them in preserving this cherished environment.
Our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, Brigette Kirkpatrick, established Create A Sense of Place in response to a significant demand for authentic and passionate service provision. Brigette and the Team are deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through personalised support. Since beginning operations in the Hunter region in 2016, our organisation has been dedicated to providing exemplary support to the community. Our services are now available across NSW, QLD, WA, and nationwide via telehealth
We align our services with the Aged Care Quality Standards of Australia, ensuring we provide safe, respectful, and high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs. Through our dedicated and person-centred approach, we strive to support people in improving their wellbeing and preserving their dignity.
