Our Developmental Education service supports people with disability to build skills, confidence, and independence. Using a rights-based approach, we focus on inclusion, capacity-building, and living life on your terms.
At Create A Sense of Place, we are proud to offer Developmental Education services led by our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, a qualified Developmental Educator with a Master’s in Disability Practice and Leadership. Developmental Educators are allied health professionals who work alongside people with disability using a human rights-based approach to support meaningful inclusion and participation in all aspects of life.
Developmental Educators specialise in building a person’s skills, confidence, and independence—supporting people to live the life they choose, in the way that works for them.
We provide tailored assessments and supports, which can be accessed through the Improved Daily Living or Improved Relationships (Behaviour Support) budgets, depending on individual needs.
Reports to support NDIS reviews or appeals can be completed without ongoing sessions. Instead, we gather information through tailored assessments, discussions, and observations to inform our recommendations.
You lead the way — we’ll walk beside you, and together we’ll co-create the support you want.

At Create A Sense of Place, we acknowledge the invaluable contributions of people with disability to our work, our communities, and our profession. We recognise the ongoing and historical injustices faced by people with disability and commit to challenging the systemic barriers that continue to exist. We uphold the inherent rights of people with disability and work in partnership to ensure those rights are recognised, respected, and realised. We honour the leadership, insight, and expertise of people with disability—both within our organisation and in the broader community—and we deeply value the collaboration of individuals, families, and communities in shaping inclusive, ethical, and impactful practice.
