Compassionate, respectful, and person-led support—backed by experience and accreditation.
At Create A Sense of Place, we recognise the challenges that older individuals—and those supporting them—face when trying to access timely and appropriate support. Extensive waitlists, under-resourced services, and a lack of specialised behaviour support in aged care settings are common concerns raised by both families and providers.
Our Behaviour Support Practitioners are experienced in working with older people in home, community, and residential aged care settings. We respond to behaviours that may arise from unmet needs, communication barriers, cognitive decline, or emotional distress—always with a non-judgemental, respectful, and trauma-informed approach.
We focus on improving quality of life and supporting people to remain in their own homes wherever possible. For many, home is more than just a physical space—it’s a source of identity, comfort, and stability. We work to preserve that sense of place with dignity and care.
Our approach is built on four core principles:
Every person deserves respect, autonomy, and safety
You’re at the centre of every decision
We recognise past experiences and respond with care
We build on what’s already strong within and around you
Our tailored strategies are developed in close collaboration with the person, their family (with consent), and their wider support network. We understand that true support doesn’t happen in isolation—it requires connection, trust, and shared understanding.
Our organisation holds the highest level of Positive Behaviour Support accreditation from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and we align our services with the Aged Care Quality Standards of Australia.
We now operate across NSW, VIC, SE QLD and nationally via telehealth, offering both flexibility and consistency of care.
We need to be listed as an Approved Service Provider.
