Established in 2016, Create A Sense of Place (CASoP) delivers ethical, rights based support grounded in human rights, connection, and trust — growing alongside the people and communities we serve.
At Create A Sense of Place, our values shape every interaction and guide everything we do.
We support people to build a life that feels meaningful, authentic, and their own.
We lead with honesty, transparency, and accountability.
We uphold each person’s rights, individuality, and voice.
We strive for high-quality, safe, and consistent service.
We build strong, respectful relationships grounded in trust.
We deliver support with skill, ethics, and compassion.
At CASoP, we take an affirming, intersectional approach to every aspect of our work. We recognise that identity is not one-dimensional, and that people’s experiences are shaped by the intersections of disability, neurodivergence, age, gender, culture, race, and other aspects of self.
Our role is to listen deeply, respond respectfully, and walk alongside people in ways that honour their full identity, not just a diagnosis or label. We actively challenge systemic assumptions and create spaces where people feel safe, valued, and understood.
We recognise that feeling seen, heard, and valued is essential to building trust, restoring purpose, and creating a true sense of place.
We are committed to ensuring that our strategies never silence a person, especially those who may already feel unheard. Instead, we prioritise communication, safety, and dignity, recognising that without the ability to express oneself, genuine support cannot take place.
We embed a trauma-informed approach across all areas of our work, creating emotionally safe, predictable, and responsive environments.
We prioritise autonomy, choice, and the right to communicate needs and boundaries.
We centre each person in their own care, involving natural supports and building relationships based on mutual respect.
We focus on what’s strong. Our work celebrates capacity, resilience, and possibility.
You lead the way — we’ll walk beside you, and together we’ll co-create the support you want.

At Create A Sense of Place, we acknowledge the invaluable contributions of people with disability to our work, our communities, and our profession. We recognise the ongoing and historical injustices faced by people with disability and commit to challenging the systemic barriers that continue to exist. We uphold the inherent rights of people with disability and work in partnership to ensure those rights are recognised, respected, and realised. We honour the leadership, insight, and expertise of people with disability—both within our organisation and in the broader community—and we deeply value the collaboration of individuals, families, and communities in shaping inclusive, ethical, and impactful practice.
