Behaviour Support Practitioner & Counsellor

Emma is an experienced, qualified, and AASW registered social worker who has been practicing in her profession for over 10 years.  Emma began providing Positive Behaviour Support in 2018 following experience working within; family support systems, child protection, out of home care and disability (Support Coordination) service provisions.

Emma has engaged in extensive training for the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support and enjoys putting this into practice within her role as a practitioner.

Emma is passionate about being able to improve the quality of life for those that she supports, as well as being able to assist people to advocate and communicate for their own needs, wishes and desires.

Emma is the ideal practitioner as she has over 10 years of experience within the disability, community services and family support fields.  She engages in thorough and in-depth assessment and utilises this to guide practice.

Emma is honest, straightforward and practical in approach.  She has a great sense of humour and  loves the outdoors and getting creative with intervention and approach. Emma strengths include being;

When working with Emma, you can expect that she will always take the time to investigate, assess and understand situations to the full extent. She will undertake a practical approach to Positive Behaviour Support  to ensure that the voice, needs and goals of the participant is at the forefront of all that she does. Emma will work closely with participants and their support network (both formal and informal) to ensure that best outcomes are achieved and quality of life is improved.
