I am an experienced, qualified, and AASW registered social worker who has been practicing in my profession for over 10 years. I began providing Positive Behaviour Support in 2018 following my experience working within; family support systems, child protection, out of home care and disability service provisions.
As our Senior Practitioner, I provide guidance and mentoring support to our team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and very much enjoy assisting in the ongoing growth, progression, and development of my peers.
I have engaged in extensive training for the provision of Positive Behaviour Support services and enjoy putting this into practice within my role as a practitioner. I am passionate about being able to improve the quality of life for those that I support, as well as being able to assist people to advocate and communicate for their own needs, wishes and desires. I engage in thorough and in-depth assessment and utilise this to guide practice.
I will always take the time to investigate, assess and understand situations to the full extent. I will undertake a practical approach to Positive Behaviour Support to ensure that the person’s voice, needs and goals are constantly at the forefront of all that I do.
I am able to apply my critical thinking and high level of communication skills to always ensure the best outcome for the people we serve.
My strengths include being;
Passionate
Client Centred
Flexible in approach and practice
Creative
Highly experienced
Goal orientated and focused
