Laura Dando – Psychologist and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Laura is a registered Psychologist and Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner, with over 15 years’ experience working with people with disabilities. Laura has experience supporting people of all ages with disabilities, psychosocial diagnoses, complex issues, families, multidisciplinary teams, and navigating the NDIS environment.

Laura spent many years as a youth, disabilities, and community justice support worker. She has also held positions in government roles with The Department of Communities and Justice, and non-government roles working for foster care, and out of  home care organisations.

Laura is warm, caring and empathetic for all those she meets. Laura is passionate about recognising each individual’s unique strengths and abilities, and working with them to create the type of life each individual wants. Laura is highly experienced, and skilled at understanding human behaviour, and what people are communicating through their actions and behaviours each day.  Laura wishes everyone she meets to feel heard and be seen by those around them. She cares deeply about helping people to receive the intervention, care and support they want, and that which will help them.

Laura is a devoted mother and enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping fit and healthy, reading and eating out.
